Carlile Dowling is pleased to announce that two of their senior associates have been made partners of the firm.
David Chan
David David's area is civil litigation and dispute resolution. He practised for 12 years in Melbourne, including 5 years as a barrister sole. He was a senior associate and partner of a national law firm in New Zealand for six years, and joined Carlile Dowling in 2007. His key areas of practice are commercial dispute resolution including court proceedings at all levels, arbitrations, adjudications, tribunals, mediations and negotiations, Civil and commercial law including property disputes, contract, negligence, public law, competition law, company law, banking law, education law.
Paul Morgan
Paul joined Carlile Dowling in February 2005 having previously practiced in the Corporate and Commercial law team of a national law firm, based in Wellington. He commenced training for his legal career in 1999 having already gained significant commercial business experience. Prior to entering legal practice, He spent 6 years as a Rural Finance Manager for a bank in Hawkes Bay and 4 years as a sheep and beef farm manager. He brings diverse experience and knowledge to his practice, gained both from within and outside of the legal profession. Paul practices in the Property and Commercial Team of Carlile Dowling with an emphasis on Rural property transactions and advising primary industry businesses, Commercial property and commercial business transactions, Trusts, asset protection and estate planning matters.
They also advise that one of their partners have retired from partnership effective 31st December 2009, but continues her involvement at Carlile Dowling in a consultancy role.
Angela Pidd
Angela was born and bred in Southern Hawkes Bay. She has 25 years of experience, having started with one of the firm's predecessors, Dowling & Co, in 1982. Angela's expertise covers a range of areas including Buying and selling residential, commercial and rural properties, Subdivisions, Company formation and business transactions, Trusts and asset protection, and Wills and estate administration.

Maurice practiced in Auckland in 1998 for 18 months before moving to Hawkes Bay in 2000 to work in general practice. He joined Carlile Dowling in 2006 and now specialises in:
